A Blogger Without A Blog

I‘m having a hard time getting into the normal swing of things in 2015.

We had a great Christmas and New Years with family and friends. I keep thinking about this little place but between the holidays, transitioning at work (I received a “new position” of sorts), and trying to plan the wedding (So! Much! To! Do!), I’m having a hard time finding time to get everything done, much less sit down and write. The little bit of “free” time I have is spent relaxing. I’ve spent quite a bit of time creating at my desk (#artbywiggle) and trying to get back into the habit of reading (I’m currently reading Me Before You by Jojo Moyes). The biggest task so far of the wedding is complete – invitations! – and I’m getting really excited about our big day. I created our invites myself, had them printed at a local printing company, put them together, and mailed them. It was a huge undertaking but a labor of love and I plan on sharing the process here at some point.

But you’re probably wondering what the title of this post has to do with anything. Well, in the bustle of all the things I’ve mentioned, I forgot to update my payment information with GoDaddy (which needed to be updated thanks to someone stealing my credit card over the holidays) and they ultimately deleted my blog entirely. Yep, one day I got a text from Samantha asking if something was wrong with my site and after a brief investigation, I realized the whole thing had been removed. I was devastated and immediately got on the phone with GoDaddy. After some tears, persuasion from Adam, a rather large chunk of money, and three days of waiting, they were able to restore* my entire blog. Thank my lucky stars! So, for a brief period of time, I was a blogger without a blog. And now that I’ve shelled out that extra money, I need to actually utilize this space. (And learn how to back up my own files so I could restore them again myself if need be, which hopefully won’t be any time soon because that was just terrible.)

Anyway, I have lots of ideas for new content like product reviews, my search for the perfect red lipstick, wedding updates including the creation of our invitations, a What’s In My Purse post, #PizzaJax reviews, our engagement photos, my thoughts on the #BetterHandLettering course, fashion photos (I even got a new camera lens for Christmas!), my #tinyspidey photo project, a new project I want to start that’s different than anything I’ve done before, and a whole lot more.

Thanks for being so patient with me as I enjoy these new phases in my life and try to get back into a routine. In the meantime… what’s new with you?

*If you notice any bugs or missing content, please let me know. So far everything seems to be in normal working order but there’s liable to be something out of place.

  1. I was wondering where your blog went! Thought maybe you were going for a redesign or something. Glad to see you’re back and look forward to your upcoming posts!
